Amazing equipment,brightness is amzing in caves or in rocks,I highly recommend this for any fishermen.

It seemed like a great light on the surface, but on the first dive of my trip it flooded the housing and light assembly in less than 60 ft of water. Since the light assembly flooded, I can't dry it out and I'm without a torch for the rest of my trip.

This is buy far the best budget dive light you can buy. I bought the SL4 version as well and it is not much better. The main benefit of this light is that the batteries seem to last forever. It also has a concentrated beam. Seems a lot brighter than 100 lumens.

Bought one as a backup dive light. Flooded on 3 out of 3 dives that I took it on - checked seals each time no visible damage threads in right and no dust/dirt on the seals. Kept it right at the on/off point and never over twisted - twice it sat at that point the entire dive but was still flooded in 30-40 feet of water. Stay away from this dive light.

I have used this light twice while diving at less than 60 feet deep. Both times it slowly filled with water and stopped working while I was submerged. Water penetrated both the light and battery housing completely flooding the light. The second time it flooded I took it apart to check the seals. Both O-rings are in tact, the light housing is not cross threaded, and I keep the switch very close to the on/off point so I am pretty positive I am not over-rotating it to turn the light on and off. I don't know if I have a defective unit or if anyone else has had this problem? It is very disappointing because this light, on land and dry, is by far the best flashlight I've ever owned. Very bright, very clean light. Underwater however it simply isn't reliable and because of that I have to give it a 1 star and a bad review.

Very flood prone. Don't actuate at depth, seawater will slip through the moving seals and it will flood. If you keep your seals lubed, actuate before entry, and leave the torch on throughout your dive, you should be fine.
Beam is more of a spotlight with a good throw distance and lacks any appreciable peripheral-fill. I find the beam acceptable in day-conditions (peaking inside rocks/corals/etc) or used as a signaling torch in dark/low-viz conditions.
On the plus side, it comes with a lifetime warranty. That's a good thing because the torch goes back for factory replacement almost every time I loan it out.
Shown below is what you'll get used to seeing (cruddy/corroded), and what it's supposed to look like (clean/shiny).
Save yourself the hassle and don't purchase this torch. I've learned not to trust these torches.

Purchased end 2014,couldn't dive to medical issue, therefore didn't used it for more then a year, finally used it on Jan 4,2016. It flooded on the second dive... O-rings are good and greased.
Life time warranty? Let's see, I live now in China... mailing the torch to anywhere will cost a bit.

I got 2 of these delivered super fast.
the lights are really bright for such a small flashlight.
can't wait to use them underwater on my dive trip leaving next week.

I followed instructions for assembly and usage (i.e., lubricate the O-rings, use new batteries and place them correctly, etc.). It worked OK on the 1st dive but on the 2nd dive it flooded quickly. On the surface following the dive I unscrewed the top...luckily I had it pointing away from everyone. The contents were under pressure and the batteries (which had corroded and were leaking battery acid) shot out.
This is a flawed product in that you have to rotate the top/bezel to turn the light on and off, and this is also the same way you take the top off and load the batteries. I proved that even if you do things right (i.e., just rotate the bezel far enough to turn the light on and not so far as to cause leakage throug... More

Item arrived on time and worked right out of the package. It came with batteries even though the discription said no batteries so I don't know what happened there. the light seems to be powerful and bright. have not had this item in the water yet so the true test is yet to come, for lighting quality and seal ability underwater.

I have used underwater kinetics flashlights in paper mills for years and they always work. This one appears the same as the prior units but now it has a bright battery saving led.
